The Self-Care Commitment

This first-of-its-kind program puts self-care front and center with continuing self-care education for therapists PLUS education for franchisees and management teams to create self-care cultures. In partnership with the American Massage Therapy Association, Massage Envy has helped develop free CE courses on body mechanics and injury prevention. The Body Mechanics course focuses on how to work safely while performing body work. The Injury Prevention course focuses on the importance of warming up, cooling down, and how to identify and strengthen areas that might need additional attention. The Self-Care Commitment includes detailed strategies and step-by-step instructions for developing an effective self-care routine. 

The Self-Care Commitment also provides managers and franchisees education on how to create a physical and social environment that empowers service providers to take care of themselves. It takes leadership committed to bringing out the best in every therapist and esthetician to build a strong self-care culture. Each franchisee and management team has the resources and tools they need to do just that.

This program gives Massage Envy franchised location employees and their immediate families access to confidential, online counseling, mental health resources, and professional referrals to resources for everything from dependent care to legal help. Users can access information or assistance via SupportLinc anytime, day or night, 365 days a year through either the web portal or mobile app. Through the SupportLinc mobile app, users can talk or chat directly with a licensed mental health clinician. This completely free benefit is available to help all franchised location employees and their families navigate life’s ups and downs.
